In April, 2016, writer Patrick Murfin covered my poem, "If I Ask You to Tell Me About Your Faith" in a blog post titled "Heretic, Rebel, a Thing to Flout: Amy Petrie Shaw-Speaking for Me".
In June of 2018, when a change in national policy allowed the current administration to separate children and adults at the border, I authored a non-partisan open letter to the President, and convinced over 500 clergy from multiple faiths and denominations to sign it with me as a part of the Walls of Jericho initiative I began. On June 22, 2018, clergy around the country read it aloud at protests.
